Accident occurred Monday, June 13, 2011 in Oswego, IL
Aircraft: BOEING B-17G, registration: N390TH
Injuries: 1 Minor,6 Uninjured.

After take off, crew reported smoke in the aircraft and chase plane reported seeing fire on the left wing. An emergency landing was successfully performed onto a corn field. Crew of three and four passengers successfully egressed sustaining one minor injury.

Muddy ground hampered the fire department response and aircraft was consumed by fire.
