I think I can get away with giving away this song for free, BUT Bandcamp also says there's a 200 free download limit a month. We'll see how setting the price to 0$ works out. You can pay (donate) if you like. I plan on putting portions of any profit into military charities, and back into making more songs for everyone to enjoy. You wouldn't think twice about paying for your daily tobacco, beer or tipping a waitress 5 bucks for bringing you a cheeseburger...so why not pay a fellow maintainer providing you with a badass song!? (keep in mind paypal AND bandcamp take a bit off the top as well so a min of 1$ if you pay would be awesome...Recording is EXPENSIVE). If anyone knows of place I can post this to download this for free with unlimited downloads, I'm all ears...really not trying to get make personal gain from this. ok...done with the sales pitch

First written in Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait on my first deployment as a C-130 Crew Chief in 2006. The song has had a couple re-writes, taking it from very specific to that particular deployment into something that all maintainers of all airframes can enjoy and relate to. With the major success and attention this song got while I was deployed this summer, I figured I would re-record a better version for everyone (although I'm no professional and my mastering may be awful to some).

Thank you everyone for the support and I hope you enjoy the song (as well as the others I have in the works). Keep kicking ass and turning wrenches!

lyrics

Just got to work, what do you know?
The other shift left us with a BPO.
Wonder what the fuck they do all day?
Probably sitting on their asses while we slave away.
Got a cutback at 8 am, the lucky mother fuckers went home early again.
Inspections are due, the planes are a mess,
They did half a brake change and left us with the rest.
Try to tell the expiditer they're not doing their share, but all that he can say is "Man, I don't care"

The ability to give a fuck's spent,
Someone please tell me where the truck went?
Cause there's crew show and I need my box,
Gotta bump up gas and I might need LOX

It's hot as fuck, and the sun's blazin,
I'm dying out here of dehydration.
Crew's bitching about an A/C pack,
while there's sweat dribbling down my ass crack.
Just when we thought we were done,
We got a Red Ball and the fuel load's wrong.
Almost had the engines running, they'r be ready to go,
then the pilot started bitching that the oil was low.
Our Maintenance Manual said it was in limits to fly,
they tail swapped when the engineer started to cry.

The ability to give a fuck's spent,
Someone please tell me where the truck went?
Cause there's crew show and I need my box,
Gotta bump up gas and I might need LOX

On the flight line to my disbelief,
Here comes QA followed by the chief.
There was a DSV, They wanted an answer
Pro Super said "you a crew chief ain't ya?"
Pretty lucky I was doing nothing wrong,
I had the pins in the stand and my goggles on.
Section chief wanted to see me about my LOE,
even though they won't give a medal to me
I'm just an un appreciated maintenance guy
Bend over here it comes again in my brown eye

The ability to give a fuck's spent,
Someone please tell me where the truck went?
Cause there's crew show and I need my box,
Gotta bump up gas and I might need LOX

Two other guys helped write the original but they never responded if they'd like their names mentioned. I've re written it so much from the original I'm not sure how much credit they get anyway haha.
