9 December 1972- VF-92 F-4J 155743 landed aboard USS Constellation slightly left of center line, it caught the wire but veered left and headed off the deck, at this point crew - Lt. J. R. Brooke & Lt. G. B. Bastian - ejected and the Phantom ended up in the port catwalk. The crew were successfully recovered. The Phantom remained where it was until the USS Constellation (CV-64) returned to San Diego
